Express Entry

Express Entry is an immigration system that is used to filter qualified applicants effectively. This is the main pathway for many economic immigrants under the federal program. Express Entry has 3 majors of categories, Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker Program, and Federal Skilled Trades Program. Candidates need to make a profile on Express Entry, and Invitations to Apply (ITA) is sent to those who have meet requirements of the program and score high score on Comprehensive Ranking system (CRS).

Canadian Experience Class

Canadian Experience Class is for those who have Canadian work experience with skilled worker position. To qualify for this program, a candidate needs to have at least 1 year of full-time work experience in a position that is NOC 0, A, or B in Canada.

Federal Skilled Worker Program is for those who have at least 1 year of work experience in a skilled worker position. This program does not require Canadian work experience or completion of education program in Canada, which allows foreign nationals to obtain permanent residency without having been to Canada.

Federal Skilled Trades Program

Federal Skilled Trades Program is for skilled workers who are in trade occupations. Like other federal programs, candidates need to demonstrate that they have qualification, training, and/or education to perform duties and tasks as a trade skilled worker.

Provincial Nominee Program

Each province and territory of Canada is authorized to select immigrants to become permanent residents of Canada in order to meet their economical needs. Candidates need to prove their intentions to live and work permanently in the province of their choice. Candidates generally need to be in the province, but requirements and procedure differ from one province to another.

Caregiver Program

Currently, Canada has two pilot programs, Home Child Care Provider Program and Home Support Worker Program. This application is unique in a way that an applicant apply for both permanent residency and a work permit. You will receive a job-specific work permit and obtain a work permit after you accumulated 24 months of full-time work experience in Canada. Depending on where you are and how many years of Canadian work experience you have in Canada, the process will be different.

Home Child Care Provider

This option is specifically for those who work as a home child care provider (NOC 4411). It is essential to have work experience as a home child care provider in Canada.

This option is for people who care for people who needs help from a home support worker in either in your home or in your employer’s home. Only eligible occupation is Home support workers and related occupations (NOC4412).
